How is a final account built?
Break it into heads and support each with a document: contract sum, approved variations, claims, deductions, payments made. Weak accounts show one total. Strong accounts show quantity, rate, instruction and approval for each item.
What are the common points of dispute?
Unapproved variations, disputed measurements, delay damages, defects deductions and prolongation costs. Each has a different evidentiary route.
