How serious must the breach be?
Not every breach lets you end the contract. Courts look at how important the obligation was and what it cost the other side. A short delay on a minor step rarely justifies termination. Failure to deliver the main thing you paid for usually does.
What do I need to do before I act?
Read the notice, cure and termination clauses. Many contracts require written notice and a period to remedy. Ending the contract without following them can turn you into the party in breach.
What can I claim?
Performance, cancellation with a refund, or compensation for proven loss. Often a combination. We build the position around documents and a clear chronology. For the wider picture see our breach of contract overview.

WhatsApp usCommon questions
Can I stop paying if the other side has breached?
Sometimes. It depends on the contract and on whether their breach goes to the core of the deal. Withholding without a basis can expose you to a counterclaim.
Is a verbal contract enforceable?
It can be, but it is harder to prove. Messages, payments and conduct are used to show what was agreed.
