What makes a guarantee enforceable?
A valid undertaking in the right form, a clear identification of the debt, and compliance with any conditions such as notice or a demand. The UAE Civil Transactions Law contains rules on suretyship that affect scope and discharge. We check form and substance.
What should a creditor prepare?
A demand that matches the guarantee terms, a schedule of the debt, and proof that the debtor defaulted. A sloppy demand gives the guarantor an easy defence. We prepare the demand and the claim together.
What can a guarantor argue?
That the guarantee does not cover this debt, that terms were changed without consent, that the creditor did not meet conditions, or that the main debt is not owed. Read the document before reacting. See debt recovery for the enforcement stage.

Is a director automatically a guarantor of company debts?
No. A director is not personally liable unless they signed a personal guarantee or the law makes them liable on specific facts.
Can a guarantee be limited in time?
Yes. Expiry terms are common, so check the validity period carefully.
