What counts as aggravating?
Planning in advance, acting with others, using particular means, or victim and location factors recognised by the law. Each has legal definitions, which we check against the charge sheet.
How is it challenged?
By testing the evidence for the aggravating element: planning, number of persons, roles. Often it is alleged but not shown. In group incidents, individual roles matter.
What should the family do?
Provide facts, names and documents, and do not discuss the case on social media. See serious injury.
